No More the Fool is an album by Elkie Brooks.
Released in late 1986, the album marked the peak of Brooks' career as the lead single and title track became a big comeback hit for her, reaching No.5 in January 1987. This album also reached No.5 at the same time, while a compilation album, The Very Best of Elkie Brooks was at No.10 in the charts. No More the Fool was her first release on the Legend record label and spawned two more singles, which became minor hits. This album remained on the UK album chart for 23 weeks.
No More the Fool was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, Woody Bay Studios, Good Earth Studio and Livingstone Studios and was mastered by Trevor Jordan, Steve Rooke and Nick Webb. It was re-issued by Castle Records in 1997 and 1999.
